01 Camp & Eclipse When and where will the total solar eclipse take place?

The total solar eclipse will take place on August 2, 2027. Our guests will observe the event from the private Luxor Eclipse Camp in an open panoramic desert location near Luxor, selected for clear horizons, organized access and a comfortable totality experience.

02 Camp & Eclipse Why should I choose Luxor Eclipse Camp?

Our entire operation is being created specifically for this event. The hotel schedule, transportation, astronomy briefing, camp layout, cooling facilities, photography zones, guest support and movement plan are all being organized around August 2, 2027. We are also a local Luxor team with direct knowledge of the city, routes and local conditions.

03 Camp & Eclipse What facilities will be available inside the camp?

The camp is planned as a fully equipped event destination with air-conditioned hospitality areas, shaded seating, panoramic viewing, photography and telescope space, internet, electricity, charging points, restrooms, drinks, snacks, lunch, parking, medical assistance and operational support.

04 Camp & Eclipse Will astronomers be present during the event?

Yes. Prominent guest astronomers will join us and interact with our guests. They will share talks, explanations and commentary about the eclipse and the significance of totality. Their names will be announced closer to the event as a special surprise.

05 Camp & Eclipse How many guests will be accepted?

We will accept a maximum of 130 guests across both packages. This limit helps us provide comfortable transportation, organized camp access, efficient support and a higher level of personal service without overcrowding.

06 Camp & Eclipse How long is totality expected to last near Luxor?

Totality near Luxor is expected to last approximately six minutes and twenty-two seconds, depending on the final viewing location. Exact timing and observation instructions will be reviewed during the astronomy briefing.

07 Packages & Stay What is the difference between the two packages?

The short package is a 5-day, 4-night Luxor experience focused on Luxor and the eclipse. The long package is a 12-day, 11-night journey including Cairo, Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum, a luxury Nile cruise, Luxor and the eclipse camp.

08 Packages & Stay Which hotel is included in Luxor?

Guests stay at Steigenberger Nile Palace Luxor in Executive Rooms. The hotel offers a five-star environment, Nile-side location, restaurants, leisure facilities and convenient access for the event transportation plan.

09 Packages & Stay Which Nile cruise is included in the long package?

The long package includes four nights aboard Sonesta St. George I in a Deluxe cabin, with full-board meals and a scheduled sightseeing program between Luxor and Aswan.

10 Packages & Stay Are international flights included?

International flights are not included, allowing travelers to select the airline, route and cabin class that suits them. The long package includes the listed domestic flight and internal transportation arrangements described in the itinerary.

11 Booking & Payment What are the package prices?

The short Luxor package is $2,100 per adult. The Grand Egypt and Nile Cruise package is $3,750 per adult. Prices are based on two guests sharing a Double or Twin room. Single-room and single-cabin supplements are quoted separately.

12 Booking & Payment How much deposit is required?

The short package requires a $400 deposit per adult and $200 per child aged 7–17. The long package requires $800 per adult and $400 per child aged 7–17. Children aged 0–6 require no deposit.

13 Booking & Payment Is the deposit part of the package price?

Yes. The deposit is deducted from the total package price and is not an additional charge. Your confirmation will show the total price, deposit received and remaining balance.

14 Booking & Payment What is the child pricing policy?

Guests aged 18 and older pay the full adult rate. Children aged 7–17 pay 50% of the adult package price and 50% of the adult deposit. Children aged 0–6 travel free and require no deposit, subject to the confirmed family accommodation arrangement.

15 Booking & Payment What information is required before payment?

Only your package choice, traveler numbers, room preference, lead traveler name, email, phone or WhatsApp number and country are required. We do not ask for passport uploads or a long form before you pay the deposit.

16 Booking & Payment When do I provide passport and flight details?

After the deposit is paid, you will receive access to the Complete Your Traveler Details form. Passport information, dates of birth, flights, dietary needs, medical information and equipment details can all be completed later.

17 Policies & Safety What happens if I cancel my reservation?

Cancel on or before June 2, 2027 and receive a full refund of package payments made directly to us without deductions. From June 3 through August 1, we retain only 40% of the deposit and refund the remaining deposit and other direct payments.

18 Policies & Safety Can I transfer my reservation to another traveler?

Yes, subject to hotel, cruise, domestic flight and supplier approval. Contact us as early as possible. Any unavoidable external supplier fee will be explained before the change is completed.

19 Policies & Safety Is eclipse visibility guaranteed?

No tour operator can guarantee weather conditions. The camp is selected for open panoramic visibility, but clouds, dust and atmospheric conditions remain outside our control. The planned camp services and astronomy program will continue when safe.

20 Policies & Safety How will solar-viewing safety be handled?

Guests receive suitable solar-viewing glasses and clear safety instructions. Eye protection must be used during all partial phases and removed only when the astronomy team confirms totality has begun. Children must remain supervised by an adult.

21 Policies & Safety How will you manage the August heat?

The itinerary uses early sightseeing where possible. The camp includes air-conditioned hospitality areas, shade, seating, drinking water, refreshments, restrooms and medical support. Guests will also receive preparation and hydration guidance.

22 Camp & Eclipse Can I bring a camera, tripod or telescope?

Yes. Cameras and reasonable tripods are welcome. Large telescopes, heavy mounts or equipment requiring significant space or power should be declared after booking so we can plan an appropriate location.
